How to Volunteer

AIM will need many hundreds of volunteers for the AIM activities outside the Horse Park. There are openings for people with particular skills as well as general willingness to help.

Emphasis for AIM volunteers is in serving poeple who are visiting the Games and on building relationships.

Some of the activities include:

  • Community Events: in Paris, Georgetown, Versailles and Lexington – equine, cultural, hospitality, etc.
  • Prayer: Coordinating teams, materials, prayer walking and special prayer meetings.
  • Creative Arts: Music, puppets, mimes, clowns, drama, story telling.
  • Home Hosting: Offering cultural exchange by providing homes for international WEG volunteers.  (This team will develop procedures for enlisting homes – and screening and training to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable.)
  • Providing meals for people staying at churches, campgrounds, and other locations.
  • Runners, traveling from one site to another with info, supplies, and workers.
  • Transportation of people from bus stops to churches, homes, and events.
  • Language translation (there will be people from 100+ countries)
  • Staffing booths in various locations (International Equestrian Festival, Festival of the Horse, Kentucky International Equine Expo, etc.)
  • Child Care
